My Puma has a stick throttle pedal. Looking through the search pages on here I deduced its crud around the linkage on the throttle body based on what others said of cleaning that off curing it and the fact its only the initial movement thats sticky, once you get off idle its fine.

So in the short time I had on Sunday I put a bit of WD40 on the linkage but as its all around the back of the body access is hard. Is cleaning this properly a 'body removal' job?

Thanks

Makes sense now! So yes I have to take it off by the looks of it. How is best to clean the deposits? Scrape them off?

i cleaned mine and cleaned the maf sensor whilst i had the carb cleaner out the sensor was rotten coverd in oil, works a treat on throtle response :)
