i like them, but I think when you change the alloys on a puma, you must lower it aswell. What size would you go for?

err 16 inch hopefully but i think it will have to be 17's. Id get it lowered too but not sure how much it would cost. I really like the black wheels but the red trim really caught my eye! I think it looks proper cool :-D

Agreed, they look good. 16 is a bit of an odd size to get tyres for; cost more than getting tyres for 17 usually :?

I'd get 17's and then lower it. I'd not bother getting 17s if you don't lower it as it'll look like a monster truck. And 16s in that style will stand out a lot but that'll show up the fact it's not lowered. 17s and lower it if you can.

Nah you shouldnt have to do any cutting.

Just make sure nothing fouls the tyre upon rotation on the front when turning, some have to have a bit of the wing grinded down or the full lock position limited.

Usually 17s work without issue though!! Dal has 17s and lowered and he doesnt have any issues :)

yeh ur rite but dont you have to get the arches cut out to allow for when the car drops?

Nah... as long as you get them in an offset that's appropriate (ET34-37) you'll be ok. Some tyres have a much more vertical wall than others (My avon ZZ3 205/40/17 is far more 'square' on the corner than the more 'rounded' toyos) so might be an idea to check.

Quite a bit more than I paid for mine with Toyos

You tried http://www.alloywheels.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ? (S'where I got mine)

i really wish i could but im paying off the car still, maybe with the student loan haha 8)
oh yeh what lowering springs would people recomened? and what kinda price would i be looking at?

You'd be best getting a suspension kit-ie, springs and shocks. If you just get lowering springs and put them on your current standard shocks they;ll deteriorate v quickly. I'd suggest ........

OR

http://www.pumabuild.co.uk/catalog/prod" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... 42c0511d3a

If your more on a budget, then these would be good:

Could always sell them on if you upgraded after. THe shocks will go a bit quicker, but not ny much.

You don't need to buy Puma suspension from a Puma specialist, or even get a Puma specialist to fit it- its no more difficult than a Fiesta. Especally as many have a reputation for poor customer service as well as charging for parts that were never fitted

Try http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ which is where I got my Weitec coilover kit and remember you pay for what you get, some kits are rubbish and make the handling worse.

Good advice BOK. I really want to stay loyal to pumapseed, but its not like the puma is a specialist piece of kit, its 60% fiesta so most garages should be ok working on them.
