I secretly think you are mad but have to admire your tenacity and seeing as you have now paid for it I fail to see how it still does not belong to you, does this mean we can only leave a shop with goods we have paid for when/if the shop gives us permission to take them :!: :!:

Stick with it, I hate the idiots online that list things with "no reserve" or "low starting price" and then moan when you buy it at a bargain price.

I won my "millie" for £560 and the owner was not chuffed as she thought it was worth over £1000.....do I feel guilty :?:

Great story this and like someone else has said, "beats the telly"

I just think.. Bottom line... She thought it would go for more.. realised she dropped one when it didn't and doesn't want to sell it for that price.

If she wanted more then she should've put a reserve on it or started the bidding from the minimum price she wanted for it.

Agreed

she could even have pulled it before the end of the auction or edited the price etc, I didnt buy it till 15 mins before the auction ended.

I think this is awesome. I am known to be like a dog with a bone as well, so I fully understand your point of view and am gunning for you! Keep us posted!

Thank you your support is very much appreciated

As is the support and help given by the rest of you

I'm going to the breakers this weekend for bits for my runaround. I will look for some leather seats for your Puma and if I see any I will let you know.

Recaros or ford wingbacks from some 90's xr3i's some escort cabriolets, maybe some xr2i's and si's have them as well.

Cheers peeps

Then of course having found them and sold them to Questy you can deny all knowledge of the sale and put them on ebay, gumtree etc etc , oh hang on, thats where this all started

I'm not a meany! Unless it was someone else I use to know from school. lol

Once the sale is complete, and he has paid, surely she is no longer the legal owner and has no legal right to withdraw?

Id be using the DVLA service to trace address then repossessing my car if it was me.

You have a reciept from ebay and paypal (which you will) that would likely satisfy the police as V5 is not proof of ownership.

I'm afraid not Warren as far as criminal law goes anyway, both the DVLA and Porkshire police have no interest in the matter.

Winning at auction doesnt mean you own it and paying doesnt mean you own it, the item has to be willingly given over to you b y the seller.

Which to my mind totally undermines the whole auction concept.

As far as civil law goes my thought is that a court would definately find in my favour but likely would not be able to order the seller to provide me with that vehicle or a similar vehicle but would only order the repayment of the money. In many weeks time.

Peer pressure and publicity is the way forward I believe.
