    Buttercup moving on??

Hi guys, as title suggests I am thinking it is time for "buttercup" to move on. Since last MOT she has hardly moved due to lack of time, result is that at the moment there is no MOT however this does not mean it is an MOT failure, merely that I have not had time to MOT it!! So as it stands at...

    AArrgh !!

Ok guys and girls, thinking heads on please Coming back from MOT last year managed to pick up a nut along the road (as in nut/bolt not lunatic) which wedged itself between the front ABS sensor ring and the hub. By the time I got home the ABS light had come on so figured the nut had heated up the...

    first time insurance

Not Puma related but as there are always items on here about car insurance thought I would add my own experience My daughter passed her test a week ago after being on a "learner" policy with a company who keep popping up on here, all well and good, not a bad price for a learner driver with her...

Sometims too tight is not good!

Decided to turn "buttercup" round today as a) i need to be able to open the bonnet to put battery charger on and b) all the other wee jobs that have to be done for MOT next year are at the front. Simple job, push car out of garage, put charger on, start and turn round, however, since I drove...

    Tailgating!

No not what the heading implies but it seemed a catchy title  On the family barge C-Max which by the way just did the annual family Aviemore run, fully loaded plus 4 adults and a 4 year old and returned an average of 44mpg (most of the run being done at 60mph+) has developed an...

    Towing options for"buttercup"

Right gang need some advice please. As some of you will know my aborted southbound trip has led me to reconsider the options for future such adventures. So..do I go for trailer, towing dolly or A frame? :? Trailer seems a bit excessive plus adds overall weight so will probably discount this...

    4 Wheel alignment

Buttercup is going in tomorrow to have her wheels aligned as with 4 brand new tyres on I do not wish to scrub one too quickly, since doing the rear beam bushes she feels ever so slightly out of line, seems to turn into right hand corners a bit more eagerly than left handers. Will be interesting...

    Phone???

Hi guys. Bit more work on buttercup today and finally got round to inputting the radio code after reconnecting the battery for what I hope will be the last time. Screen on radio is now showing "phone" which according to audio book is indication of a connected device. Now I have never had...

    DMB Graphics

Not sure if you all missed this when it happened but seems that you can no longer get Ford logo gel overlays...due to copyright issues apparently. Apologies if this is already known but just tried to get gel's for the C-Max and got no where. BTW....Wife and C-Max had a slight incident with our...

Hi guys. Just back from 2 weeks away in Cromarty (that beyond Inverness for those of you going "where") 4 adults, 1 small child, hell of a lot of luggage all piled into the family barge (2 litre passat est) and despite having all this weight, virtually no ground clearance and over 132,000...

    ABS/TRC WIRING

Hi all, yet more ABS related queries. Anybody have any idea what colour wire goes from the ABS module to the light on the dash? Also are both lights (ABS and Traction control) operated through the module or is the TRC on a separate circuit?
