those sticky pads are normally very good, did it come away from bumper, leaving sticky pads on the plate?

Nope other way around and rear one also coming off. Going to nail them on as decided can't go around with no plate plus don't want to waste the money I spent getting them done!

sure you dont mean heater control valve? also have you considered the thermostat? apologies if you have already had these replaced

Yep, both been replaced! Tested the control panel too. Seems heater matrix is all that's left unless anyone has any bright ideas!

you can test if its the matrix by joining up the two pipes going to the HCV to bypass the whole lot, if that cures it at least you will know its something HCV and beyond
