Don't bother, new one will prob fold over too, get deflectors instead.

Flash- they don't lookin bad nick and the haven't folded over- however they seem to have a large ammount of diort in them and i think they may be causing the scratches :(

N.B- Just realised were you ment- I ment were the glass gowes down into the door- are they called weather stripes?

If your wheels are only wobbling (I suspect juddering) when braking from 50 or so I'd be more inclined to think this was the brakes and not the wheels. My old Omega, or to the point most of my past cars always seemed to develop this trait as I'm very hard on the brakes. I found taking it easy on them for a while sometimes got rid of the problem unless I'd totally goosed them. Since having the upgrade on the Puma I haven't had this problem as the bigger brakes can cope very easily with whatever I throw at them.

My advice would be to fit your new brakes first before changing the wheels as your doing them anyway and you may find everything is ok which will save you buying wheels unnecessarily.

Cheers Paul, i hope this is the case- its ok round town, but on the motorway it can be a little bit worrying.

Need to sort out powder coating cost for my cam cover and the inlet.

And I'm going to have a go at painting the plastic cover my self- eekkkk

What a difference a MAF makes.

Finally swaped to the Jacko MAF- Blimey, its like light and day!

No stuttering when you push the go faster pedal all the way down, just a smooth constant pull. Car feels better for this.

Brakes need sorting. though as the wheels have been given a clean=ish bill of health, still have a buckled one

There is a guy selling some anthracite Sport/StreetKa wheels on zsoc atm.

Why are you refurbing your 9 spokes? They won't fit over the new brakes.

Flash- thought you said they would if you shave the carrier?

Oh and i can't get on ZSOC at the min- How much does he want for them?

17's- While looking better for shows etc- ruin the ride and handleing in my veiw, were as 16's give just the right balance.

And 15s will go on with the carrier shaved, and with no issues.

Sorry, hadn't realised you were shaving them!

Make sure you shave them before painting though!

He hasn't stated a price, open to offers.

you should ask all those who have fitted 17's if thats the case if anything the handleing is better much more grip around corners and doesnt wheelspin as easily

if your lowering the car 50mm to 60mm this will alter the handleing from its original setup anyway maybe for track use its adviseable to go that low but arond the streets it will ruin the handleing considering thats what the puma's good at on its original setup

All valid points.

I may end up agreeing with you, but for now that my veiw

As for ride hight, again for a atrack focused car your right that on the road it would be very un comprimising and possible dangours- However i am taking the time and the effort (not to mention cost) of getting some underfloor skid plates and protection mounted to the car for this, and new drive shafts for the drop as well.

My orginal aim was 100-120mm drop, but i have canned that in foavour of getting the ride height set so the shafts are perfectly level and it is as low as it can go.

Yes i am aware ride and handleing will be effected, but in my view and from owning a hard track focused car before its how i like my cars to be, nervous, twitchy and rock hard
